The following letter was sent to US Secretary of State Mr. Pompeo by Tamils for Trump.

RE: Make Your Trip to Sri Lanka to Honor the Massacred Tamils in Mullivaikal
Dear Secretary Pompeo:
We are writing this letter to kindly ask you to visit Mullivaikal in Vanni during your upcoming trip to Sri Lanka.
Mullivaikal is where over 146,000 innocent Tamils were massacred during Rajapaksa’s previous rule. We humbly ask you to honor those who were killed in 2009 and to condemn this atrocity.
Rajakapsa’s government created a no-fire zone to the Tamils to gather in safety in 2009, but this was just a ruse, as the defense Secretary and the current President Mr. Gotta Rajapaksa ordered that they be slaughtered.
This shelling and bombing in the no-fire zone killed over 146,000 Tamils and led to 30,000 Tamils going missing.
The second wish of ours is for you to meet the new Tamil leadership, Mr. Gajendrakumar Ponnampalam, to discuss the Tamils’ political goals and the future of the Tamil people, as well as the Sri Lankan war crimes condemned by the UNHRC. China has also been complicit with the Sri Lankan government in trying to cover up these war crimes and prevent justice, in return for economic favors
We Tamils also do not want Chinese intrusion into the Tamil homeland in the northeast of Sri Lanka.
Tamils want US protection from possible Chinese intrusion. We desire to preserve ancient Tamil culture and our land, both of which are currently under attack by the Sri Lankan government and the Chinese.
